Basque Government allocates 6 million euros to strengthening Trade

The Basque Government has allocated 6 million Euros to programmes aimed at strengthening and revitalising the trade sector in the autonomous community before 2010. Most of the measures fall under the ‘+Euskadi 09’ initiative, approved by the Board of Governors on Tuesday 8 September, and are directed at several areas: strengthening of urban environments; promotion of contracting in the commercial, hotel and catering sectors; help in purchasing furniture; communication campaigns to improve the consumer confidence index; and a campaign to encourage quality in the area of customer services in stores.
